The Company:
The Topsides Construction Lead will oversee all aspects of fabrication, construction, installation, hook-up
and commissioning activities during the FEED, tendering and execution phases of the project. The
individual is responsible for driving development of best practices for project execution during define /
execute stage both in physical results and schedule adherence, ensuring modifications to existing topsides
facilities at the host platform are completed in a manner consistent with expe

The Role:
Champion the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) program at all Topsides construction and installation sites
 Provide construction and installation input during front-end engineering to ensure safe, efficient plans
and designs with minimum impact on operations and to ensure realistic execution schedules
 Lead/supervise Brownfield construction activities both onshore and offshore and manage a complete
construction team including supervisors and inspectors. Ensure proper implementation, preparation
and execution of job cards and work packs
 Proactively identify construction and installation-related vulnerabilities and issues and facilitate timely
reconciliation with project objectives
 Coordinate construction and installation input to key project plans, e.g., execution strategy,
constructability reviews, construction methods, contractor and vessel selection, PEP, BOD, cost
estimate, staffing and resource plan, contracting strategy, etc.
 Provide and ensure application of construction systems/tools and best practices for the project
 Coordinate construction and installation readiness reviews and site visits. To be located or to visit on a
regular basis construction, installation and vendor sites to provide technical input
 Ensure development of site management plans and procedures including emergency response,
logistics, communication, hand-over, on-vessel surveillance, and site and vessel MOC to address site
specific vulnerabilities
 Define offshore coordination team process, coordinate execution vulnerabilities assessment, and
ensure a procedure review and risk assessment to identify and address potential installation planning
and execution vulnerabilities
 Ensure effective implementation of hook-up and commissioning related activities during project
planning and execution phases
 Establish rigorous processes for execution, monitoring and reporting of all work against established
safety, cost, schedule and performance measures
 Ensure the QA and QC requirements are adhered to by the various yards and vessels, liaising in this
respect with the Construction Quality Coordinator
 Coordinate interfaces and interactions with contractors and subcontractors, including clearance of
punch list activities and mechanical completion up to hand over to Operations
 Provide technical support for the ITB process - development of job specifications, request for service,
technical / commercial evaluation and award, Contract write-ups, Contract follow-up and close-outs.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering Degree preferred (Structural, Mechanical, or Construction) with a minimum of 10 years of
experience in Engineering or Site Supervision execution in the offshore construction industry.
Experience with Compliant Towers and/or Brownfield topsides projects preferable.
 Good understanding of offshore facility operating practices. Experience with implementation of IIF
work culture.
 Familiarity with National and International Codes (ABS, API, IMO, etc) and Standards and
Classification Society Rules, as well as working knowledge of normal commercial and marine
fabrication materials, procedures, and capabilities
 Familiarity with process safety information, management of change work process, engineering work
orders, turnaround planning, and working knowledge of facility design issues
 Demonstrated technical competence and leadership ability
 Demonstrated ability to communicate and work in a multi-functional asset team
