The Company:
Our client is a global operator in the oil and gas industry.

The Role:
Location: Singapore then mobilising to Korea

Our client is currently operating a global mega project.The project involves the development of a new Floating Production Storage Offloading vessel (FPSO) and associated subsea infrastructure.

Job Purpose:
The Topsides Mechanical Engineer role is to work within the topsides mechanical team in the delivery of the topsides mechanical engineering efforts in Singapore and Korea.

Reporting Relationships
The role reports to the Topsides Engineering Team Leader on a day to day basis.

Job Dimensions
The role will be based in Singapore for approximately 10 months followed by mobilisation to South Korea for 2 years. It is envisaged that the role will involve extensive travel to visit package vendor works.

The key aspects of the job are:
• Accountable for the on time delivery of assigned mechanical packages
• Provide assurance that mechanical engineering is satisfactorily completed in accordance with project specifications, company standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Day to day interaction with the Engineering team on package and general mechanical discipline issues
• Review of EPC Contractor detailed design deliverables relating to mechanical discipline
• Coordination of assigned package integration into topsides modules
• Be responsible for vendor interfaces and delivery of assigned package data in line with project requirements
• Coordination of package input from other topsides discipline groups

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years relevant industry experience in similar discipline projects
• Broad understanding of static mechanical engineering and package management
• Degree qualification and associated chartership, preferable
• Far East experience would be an advantage
• Preferable for experience of working in an EPC environment
• Ability to work within a multi-cultural environment
• Excellent communication and team working skills
