The Company:
Our Client is one of the World Leading Oil and Gas Company involved in one of Australia's landmark LNG Facilities. At present they are involved in a number of Brownfield Projects, including Maintenance and Asset Management.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Topsides Quality Inspector to ensure offshore topsides fabrication, construction and installation work meets quality requirements.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Participate in assessments and surveillance audits of suppliers and provide input to the Project Fabrication and Installation Quality Coordinator regarding the quality and technical capability of suppliers.
• Carry out inspection and quality surveillance activities in accordance with instructions from the Project Fabrication and Installation Quality Coordinator.

• Raise any concerns regarding management and closeout of suppliers’ non-conformances.
• Provide daily and weekly reports of inspection and quality surveillance activities quality issues & highlights and status

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally you will have the ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following commercial, technical and interpersonal aspects:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience with exposure to offshore and/or onshore oil and gas facilities construction, installation and commissioning with a considerable component of that work involving topsides piping, valves and structures.

• Minimum 5 years in a senior inspection role involving project quality surveillance, experience with offshore workpacks or management of other inspectors.

• Experience with contractors and vendors involved with topsides/offshore materials and equipment manufacture, fabrication, spooling, coating, installation and commissioning.

• Demonstrated knowledge of all workshop and offshore related welding and NDT processes, in particular the welding of Duplex materials is essential

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Working experience with establishing and maintaining criticality based quality and inspection programs.

• Working in the field with verifying bodies.

• Working experience with commissioning and handover of plant and equipment to operators.

• Knowledge of ISO 3834
