The Company:
Our Client is a high profile international oil and gas field services company, operating an established contract drilling and well servicing business to oil and gas exploration and production company’s globally. Within the Surat Basin they provide contract drilling services to Coal Seam Gas (CSG) Owner/Operators, operating under the mandate that no job is so important that it cannot be done safely and without adverse environmental impact.

The Role:
- 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off FIFO roster (Surat Basin)
- Highly competitive remuneration
- Five weeks annual leave

Staff opportunities exist for Day Pushers, as well as Night Pushers. Reporting to the Rig Manager, your key focus will be the operation of drilling and hoisting equipment, and managing the rig floor and driller’s console, inclusive of brakes, throttles, clutches and gauges. Your other key duties will include:

- Monitoring and recording the progress of drilling operations and communicating this to the Rig Manager and Client Representative;
- Assume the responsibilities for the Rig Manager while they are off duty;
- Supervise the day to day activities of the drilling crew to ensure they are motivated, working safely and efficiently;
- Update the Rig Manager on any unusual occurrence in the hole condition that could effect productivity or compromise the crews’ safety; and
- Complete BOP drills and equipment checks, chair regular safety drills and revisit the drills during crew change outs.

You have worked you way up to the role of Tour Pusher, and as such, your land rig knowledge, leadership and organisational skills are well proven. You hold relevant qualifications such as Cert IV or Diploma in Drilling Oil & Gas Onshore, IWCF, and BOP. And Cyber Chair experience will be well regarded.
