The Company:
Our Client is a leading provider of end-to-end outsourced engineering, maintenance and asset management services with a diversified end-market exposure across core sectors of rail, transport & technology systems, resources, water, power and defence.

The Role:

The Supervisor will manage and control allocated subcontractor / tasks in External Maintenance Availability (EMA’s) and Maintenance Window Opportunities (MWO’s). They will support the platform manager in establishing site requirements. They should foster a good relationship with the subcontractor to ensure open and honest dialogue is maintained.

• Manage and control permit requirements to ensure timely performance and compliance with company and customer requirements.
• Supervision and control of subcontractors, suppliers and resources and ensuring the safe issue and use of plant
• Plan work activities to ensure timely performance and compliance with company and customer requirements
• Control of inspection and testing activities by third parties such as Classification Society
• Review of ITP’s /JSA’s for allocated tasks prior to work commences to ensure compliance with legislative, work instruction and contractual requirements
• Assist in the raising of NCR’s for products or works
• Prepare reports, estimates/budgets, and risk mitigation plans
• Preparation of project documentation as appropriate
• Attend site meetings and progress meetings
• Assist the Platform Manager and/or Contract Control Manager in evaluation of subcontractors’ variation claims and provide check estimates for emergent works
• Responsible for subcontractor schedule performance and reporting
• De-confliction of subcontractor activities
• Maintain project records for allocated tasks (Hard copy filing and SAP electronic data set)
• Ensure testing and verification activities are planned, and implemented to verify conformance to required specifications.
• Verify all activities required by the Work Instruction (WI) is finished and objective evidence specified by the WI is present, legible and complete.
• Other activity defined by Platform Manager
• Prepare risk assessments to support work variation TCP’s
• Point of contact for allocated subcontractors / tasks

• Validation of subcontractor schedules and obtain subcontractor progress reports
• Foster good working relationship with subcontractor stakeholders
• Ensure TQ’s / PIR’s have been raised for allocated tasks
• Work with Subcontractors and OEM’s to identify NSN’s utilising NAVCMC
• Raise safety concerns to the Safety Officer for further investigation
• Provide information to the Platform Manager / CCM to facilitate project reporting activities
• Produce specific task progress reports identified by the Platform Manager to support the communication of high risk tasks or groups of tasks (schedule or technical)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
15 plus years in marine trade management. Naval construction background preferred
