The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
A Trainee Production Planner to work within the Project Planning group.

Tasks to be undertaken with appropriate training:

• Use of Microsoft Excel as required to support programme development and reporting.
• Working with other members of the Project Planning team to prepare and issue internal and external reports.
• Liaison with other departments for progress gathering and input to reports.

• Receive on the job training in planning techniques and the use of Primavera P6. This to include development of skills associated with the following:
o Critical Path Analysis techniques
o Coding structures
o Resource allocation
o Resource profiling and levelling
o Contract administration requirements
o Project Reporting
o Primavera P6 report development
o Development and maintenance of complex Excel spreadsheets
o Manhour estimating
o Manhour efficiency measurement and reporting
o Planning input to Tenders
o Meeting attendance and minute taking
o Record keeping and file maintenance

• Undertake a structured programme of familiarisation training within the various departments involved in project execution including shop floor construction.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Core Requirements:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• IT literate.
• Must enjoy working in a busy team environment and have a pro-active approach.
• Degree qualified or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn new skills and to carry out a variety of tasks as required.
• A clear recognition of the importance of deadlines and a commitment to get the job done.
