The Company:
Our client specialise in the design, manufacture, assembly, test, installation and commissioning of bespoke solutions for the nuclear decommissioning, defence, and nuclear new build markets.

The Role:
The Trainee Sales Manager will support Sales activities directly associated with defined products & Services and support the securing of New Business to help generate a dedicated multi-million pound Order-Book and resultant Sales Revenue.

The post holder will work closely with the Sales Manager and Business Winning / Operations teams, to support clients and manage tender responses within the clients Defence Accounts. The post holder will primarily focus on supporting the Defence Sales Manager with closing identified opportunities, through the management of tender responses and support of customer facing visits.

The Trainee Sales Manager will hold responsibility for the delivery of first class tender responses, managing inputs from key areas including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Project Services

Managing client/ buyer relationships during tender phase, including face to face meetings

Support the Sales Manager in the development of company Order-Book

The Trainee Sales Manager will be office based working from the Wolverhampton office, with customer site visits as required. Including Derby, Plymouth and Aldermaston

Support the clients Market Intelligence activities and information systems, including Visit Plans, Visit Reports, CRM Information Systems, Monthly Sales Reports

Represent the company at national events

In conjunction with procurement seek & foster relationships with potential delivery partners

General support of the Sales Manager as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Business or Engineering related degree

The Trainee Sales Manager will have Experience of working in a sales/ tendering environment (industrial placement suitable)

Eligible for Security Clearance + British Citizen

Self-Motivated with a strong desire/ commitment to succeed

Strong communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal
