The Company:
Our Client is the Operator of one of the largest remaining gas fields with estimated reserves of about 3tcf, to be produced during a 30 year lifespan, will meet about 8% of the country's gas requirements.

The Role:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing Training Records & develop appropriate training plans to support staff development
• Work with supervisors to ensure staff have an appropriate training plan in place.
• Work with the management team to coordinate the BIFO safety leadership initiative, develop the long term plans, schedule events and track progress.
• Review the status of all mandatory training completed and monitor for expiratory dates. Identify gaps and take appropriate action for individuals to complete required training.
• Direct admin assistants in keeping accurate records of professional /technical qualifications & certificates of all offshore personnel & appropriate onshore positions.
• Review and maintain matrices of competence levels for all core positions. Work with line supervisors to identify gaps and update the matrices accordingly.
• Design, prepare and issue reports as required by Company management, line supervisors and employing companies.
• Ensure Company records are consistent with employing company records.

Liaison with Company Managers, Contracts & Employing Companies on training and competence.
• Ensuring training & competency requirements are fully covered in contracts with service providers, including defining KPIs.
• Identify gaps in technical competencies of individuals and facilitate appropriate training or actions with Company dept managers and employing companies.
• Review training request forms for appropriateness, prior to getting management approval.
• Plan and participate in audits of vendor’s recruitment and training processes, records & reporting.

Specific training as requested by Company Management
• Find suitable courses or training providers
• Arrange venue & training materials etc
• Monitor attendance
• Solicit course feedback from participants, review & report results

General tasks
• Monitor industry training initiatives & legislation changes for possible impact to Company
• Maintaining the Training and Competency website for news, application forms etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Effective communication and inter-personal skills
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to use own initiative
• Ability to respond to a diverse range of customers and changing work processes.
• Basic knowledge of oil & gas field operations.
• General awareness of the diverse range of professions and trades required to run a producing field.
• Awareness of training organisations and training techniques available to meet customers and legal requirements
• Computer literate - competent in Microsoft office applications, database applications, internet usage & running sample CBT courses
