The Company:
Our client is a world-wide manufacturing organisation, employing thousands of people in a variety of disciplines. Operating from 6 manufacturing sites in Europe and a host of sites globally their product is found in some form or other in every home.

The Role:
To provide a professional training and development service to the business employees with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out their roles. Also to improve the performance of both individuals and teams in order to meet Business objectives.

•Manage the training needs analysis to define and agree the long term Training Plan and priorities for each year in line with the business budget and available resources.

•Design and develop training and development.

•Identify and schedule training programmes so that agreed training needs are delivered.

•Deliver training as defined in the Training Plan for the site in line to meet the client’s standards. Monitor and evaluate training.

•Understanding e-learning suite, and where relevant, be involved in the creation and/or delivery or e-learning packages.

•Manage the Induction programme

•Support and guide technical owners to produce training and training validation in line with the client’s standards.

•Support line managers by identifying training solutions and producing individual development plans to raise the capability of teams and employees.

•Maintain training data and produce management information and KPIs. Analyse the data to identify improvements and issues and support the business to meet training requirements.

•Maintain accurate and updated training records.

•Knowledge of business improvement techniques, and 5S, or the ability to learn the skills in order to train others.

•Work as part of the wider training team, with the requirement to work from other client sites as needed.

•There is the requirement to advise, influence and work effectively with all employees and managers within the Business.

•As the only training resource on site, there is a high level of independent working in this job.

•Proven experience in defining training plans, development and delivery of training and coaching and developing others.

•Site knowledge and good understanding of all site functions and business priorities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•The Job Holder will be hold a relevant professional qualification and have at least 3 years’ experience of learning and development in a manufacturing or chemical business.
•They will be expected to keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
