The Role:
Reporting to the HR HR Business Partner (whose time is split between Norwich, Dimlington and Wytch Farm), this position will form a key role in both daily Training/HR operations and the development of processes within the Training arena. The main areas of focus will be day-to-day management and coordination of the training function, including acting as Training Coordinator for a defined area, line management responsibility for the Training Team and compliance monitoring.

This position will need to ensure training delivery and the management of competence remain aligned to the Learning & Development policy and wider Learning and Development and HR strategies.

The focus of this position will be all assets/sites, including; Southern North Sea, Wytch Farm and London and may require periodic travel to any of these locations.

Job Tasks

 Manage the day-to-day operations of the Training function, balancing and identifying priorities during periods of high workload
 Ensure all training remains cost-effective and adds value/a return to the organisation
 Regularly review and act upon information gathered via the process of training evaluation, challenging the effectiveness of the evaluation tools used
 Identify where corporate initiatives/programmes are required to keep up-to-date with changing internal and external standards, ensuring delivery via the Training Team
 Promote the role across the organisation, taking the 'lead' role within the Training function and act as the focal point for training queries
 Ensure that all Training Administration is recorded accurately, to enable other members of the HR team to field queries, during periods of absence/leave
 Set Agenda for and manage monthly team meetings
 Identify, allocate and ensure delivery on additional Training Team projects
 Manage approvals and allocation of group courses
 Ensure weekly and monthly reports are completed and check accuracy prior to issue

Management

 To support, develop and manage the performance of the team on a daily basis
 Undertake appraisals on a bi-annual basis

Training Coordination

 Assist in the overall management and coordination of learning & development activities
 Maintain competence management systems
 Maintain accurate record keeping systems, including ATS and Atheneo
 Ensure shared routine tasks are performed accurately and on time
 Ensure all training processes are followed 'end-to-end', including new starter process through to leavers process
