Job Title: Training Coordinator

The Role:
This position will be in Pleasanton and reports to the Eagle-Ford Production Superintendent in Pleasanton, TX. The Training Coordinator (TC) works across Eagle-Ford Asset Team to identify training needs, manage the training function, and plan the training budget. The TC will work with subject matter experts to develop training policies, plans, and programs for salaried and hourly employees with emphasis in operations, maintenance, and regulatory/safety training. The TC should be a strategic thinker with the tactical skills to develop and support the work processes necessary to put into action all aspects of the training function. The individual will collaborate with other NAPO training professionals to ensure program consistency.

Candidate should be a self starter, strong planning skills and HES awareness to continue journey to zero accidents and support Company's reputation as a Safe, Clean and Responsible operator.

Training Planner: Work with supervisors and subject matter experts to identify training needs. Meet regularly with client groups to identify training needs, translate the needs into training plans, and ascertain the best solutions/resources to meet the needs. Collaborate with Eagle-Ford safety and environmental professionals and NAPO Safety Training Coordinator to schedule required Health, Safety, and Environmental (HES) classroom training for operations personnel and ensure that appropriate personnel attend these training sessions. Assess appropriate internal or vendor training providers. Confer with management to identify revised training needs based on projected process changes. Revise training strategy and programs as required. Coordinate with other operations within the Eagle-Ford Asset Team to provide necessary training. Oversee operator and maintenance competency programs associated with the Reliability Management Program for Eagle-Ford Operations.

Program Designer/Developer: Apply instructional system design model to ensure training strategy is competency and performance driven and is appropriate for target population. Design and develop training programs to address performance gaps. Direct subject matter experts and outside vendors as needed to develop training materials. Provide standardized format for and ongoing review of training material. Establish an evaluation strategy that effectively measures competencies and demonstrates ability to meet performance standards. Collaborate with Technical Training Department (TTD) personnel to develop needed training resources. Develop training programs to assist operations areas in properly implementing operating procedures.

Trainer: Organizes and conducts training sessions for operations personnel as appropriate with knowledge and skill set of individual. It is preferred that this individual be qualified to teach certain HES subject matter that is normally taught by Operations personnel or local HES personnel.

Training Management/Leadership: Oversee budget, scheduling, resources, planning, reporting, and documentation associated with training events. Implement Train-the-Trainer programs for classroom and on-the-job trainers to include initial training program and follow-up coaching and feedback.

Training Technology: Use the Learning Management System (VTA) to assign, schedule, track, and evaluate training. Apply other technologies to design, deliver, and administer training materials, and computer-based training (CBT) modules.

Internal Consultant: Perform in the capacity of an internal training consultant by meeting regularly with client groups (supervisors and key staff) to address training and performance concerns. Translate assessments into an annual training plan. Implement the plan while making adjustments for changing operational needs. Ensure that the training services meet or exceed client needs. Collaborate with supervisors to analyze individual performance problems and identify appropriate training and non-training solutions.

Computer Proficiencies:
Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge in SAP, KMS -Management of Change system, COGZ, TOW a plus but not required.

None Required – Teaching certificate a plus

Work Experience:
Preferences for experience in oil & gas production operations and field optimization.
Experience in HES, pumping, tech duties, workovers, SCADA, automation and I & E duties in relation to well operations are a plus.
