The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
To develop, in conjunction with senior management, the company’s training and development strategy incorporating a training and development framework for the Project delivering operations and related disciplines, management, HSE, compliance and governance training to the organisation.

•Participate in the organisation’s business and strategic planning process
•Develop and maintain an annual Training Plan of approved services and courses to deliver skills most common skills and knowledge cost effectively to support the business’s strategic direction.
•Implement appropriate mechanisms to effectively identify training and development needs within an organisation for the formation of Company, team and individual development plans
•Manage the delivery of training and development programmes to support safety case, compliance and other regulatory and best practice standards
•Establish efficient reporting mechanisms to track progress of training and development programs and costs to plans.
•Assist the GM HR and GM Operations develop annual training budgets.
•Evaluate and access where appropriate to do so, public monies for industry training.
•Efficiently manage training budgets to deliver cost effective program delivery to support the business and to budgets.
•Manage all contract for training and development service providers ensuring cost effective performance expectations.
•Assist management in identifying the relevant compliance training to support the organisations statutory training requirements are met that will enable the Company to meet all regulatory requirement for a license to Operate.
•Ensure all training and development solutions meet organisation’s prescribed Policy and Standards supported by clear procedures and systems.
•Develop strong relationships internally/externally training agencies, service providers, government representatives to ensure that training strategy and programmes meet industry best practices and project needs.
•Develop strong senior leadership and staff to insure appropriate linkage and coordination of Learning/Knowledge Management programs and activities
•Assist the GM HR deliver a Corporate Management/leadership development programmes skills identification, skills assessment, skills development, mentoring, succession planning, training assessment and monitoring.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Accredited Workplace Trainer and Assessor – Level 4
•Tertiary qualification in Oil and Gas sector related discipline.
•Post graduate studies in HRD or related field.
•Significant experience designing and implementing comprehensive training and development frameworks to assist Oil and Gas operators maintain competent workforce.
•Experienced in effectively managing a cross function team of training professionals.
•Articulate presenter and communicator.
•Thorough understanding of adult learning principles in a workplace environment.
•Experience in successfully implementing Company graduate development and indigenous training and support programs.
•Track record in designing a multi-facetted training strategy for an Oil and Gas operator incorporating statutory and regulatory compliance, production licence and safety case obligations and leadership and management capability.
•Must be well versed in variety of learning deliver mechanisms for the industry sector.
•Highly proficient
