The Role:
The Role

My client is currently looking for a training manager to work with line managers in the identification of individual and team training needs in order to ensure adherence to and compliance in quality management, health and safety and environmental practices, and general duty of care, as well as other ad hoc training needs.

As a Training Manager your main duties will involve:

• Producing training materials in line with health, safety and environmental requirements and ensure implementation within the business in accordance with organizational requirements.
• Supporting employees in gaining skills training qualifications and work with managers in the identification of skills needs, process improvements and qualifications, eg SCRUM/Agile training.
• Undertaking classroom training activities as required.
• Evaluating training outcomes, including classroom training, and individual learning activities, to inform future training interventions.
• Delivering induction training is delivered all new employees to the business, and ensure that on-boarding responsibilities are devolved and implemented effectively to the line.
• Producing Sourcing and roll out training materials and programmes that support the needs of the production and operations teams, eg 6 Sigma, Kaizan, Lean, TPM etc.
• Maintaining individual training records as required, particularly in regard to operational training and development activity that aligns to factory procedures and practices; support the maintenance of the Factory Reporting System (FRS).
• Implementing and co-ordinate NVQ and apprenticeship progammes and liaise with third parties as appropriate to manage the lifecycle
• Managing the relationship with external training bodies for the granting of funds and sponsorships for skills programmes.
• Managing and maintain the internal training catalogue and resource library and regularly review and update all training materials..
• Managing monthly/quarterly reporting on qualitative and qualitative training delivery and output against KPIs and targeted metrics.
• Undertaking primary local ownership for relevant HR Systems (Performance Management; Competency Skills Matrix; Learning Management System).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent experience
• Ideally CIPD qualified or studying towards CIPD
• Experience of leading a training function in a similar size organization.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Experience of managing projects or working collaboratively as part of a team.
