The Role:
JOB PURPOSE:
To manage and oversee the Training Department by assuming overall responsibility for the Department's functions and activities and ensuring they are performed according to the overall guidelines prescribed by the HR Division.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Advise subordinates on Training best practices and ensure that all adopted policies and programs are aligned with the overall HR strategy at Sasref.
2. Oversee the design, development and implementation of Competency Framework, Career Paths and Performance Management for all Sasref's employees.
3. Provide technical guidance to Trainers to ensure that general and technical skills training plans and courses are effectively developed, delivered and maintained according to the best industry practices, quality standards, Sasref's requirements and allocated budgets.
4. Ensure the effective implementation of Training programs and make sure that all related records, manuals, templates and documentation are properly designed, communicated, maintained and updated.
5. Ensure the effectiveness and promptness of all administrative and logistics activities associated with learning and training activities.
6. Undertake specific initiatives and projects relating to the development and implementation of new Talent Management programs and initiatives.
7. Ensure that all employees in the Department have an access to the right software and hardware to ensure that their tasks and activities are performed efficiently and cost effectively in coordination with the concerned IT Personnel
8. Direct and review the preparation of the (annual) departmental business, operating plans and capital expenditure budget, in alignment with the key functional goals, to meet the departmental business objectives.
9. Ensure the business processes and work activities, relevant to position, are executed in compliance with SASREF policy, procedures and best practice to achieve the business objectives in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
10. Lead, motivate, develop and assess the assigned team to achieve business objectives and grow capability.

Workplace (WPS) and Process (PSM) Safety, Within the position holder's area of responsibility:
 Ensure that the safety & well-being of employees, contractors, and others are always the first consideration in decisions on cost, production, quality and productivity.
 Enforce operational discipline by ensuring all workplace and process safety procedures and practices are understood and implemented in order to avoid potential WPS and PSM incidents occurring.
 Apply the Sasref HSE Policy; the 5 Safety Principles, and enforce the 12 Golden Safety Rules.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
 A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
 10 years' experience with
 3 years in supervisory role
