The Role:
Transmission & Drivetrain NVH Engineer The Powertrain NVH Transmission & Drivetrain team are responsible for developing and implementing Drivetrain technologies alongside the Design and Release team to deliver refined levels of NVH. The group is required to measure, interpret and engineer within both vehicle and powertrain so the work can be very varied. Powertrain NVH experience is desirable but it is equally as important that the applicant has a good engineering background and is able to apply themselves to problem solving within the NVH arena. The position will require a flexible approach to working.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Acoustics, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or similar required
Experience in Powertrain or Vehicle NVH development
Candidate will have some knowledge of the following:
Manual transmission drivetrain systems and components
Understanding and root causing a variety of Powertrain NVH issues, it would be beneficial if this was relating to the Transmission, Clutch / DMF & drivetrain system
Strong drive for results and initiative
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills
Good negotiation skills required
Must have a full UK or European driving license
Data analysis, signal processing and reporting.
Subjective assessments of vehicles and powertrains.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Good understanding of English verbal and written language is required, German as 2nd language would be advantageous
Candidates will find it advantageous to have some knowledge in any of the following areas:
Torsional Vibration Measurement.
Gearbox Noise & Vibration Measurements.
Powertrain Bending, Moment of Inertia, FE/modal Correlation.
NVH assessment of subsystem Powertrain drivetrain components.
Resonant Frequency Analysis, Vibration Testing, Rig Testing
