The Company:
POSITION REPORTS TO: T&I Marine and Subsea Construction Team Lead
WORK LOCATION: Baku, Azerbaijan
WORK SCHEDULE: 6x2 Rotation

The Role:

To be a member of the Project Transport and Installation PMT providing safe and efficient installation offshore execution to agreed HSE and Quality standards
To manage to detailed offshore T&I work including management of the Construction Vessel Reps and other offshore personnel
To assist in the management of the Installation Contractor to achieve the Project’s objectives and schedule.


• Actively promote project goals in respect of HSE, Budget, Schedule, and Technical Integrity.
• Lead by example in HSE, Quality and open communication within team and Contractors.
• Ensure that lessons learned are appropriately considered in the T&I engineering activities for offshore execution.
• Anticipate and identify adverse trends/events throughout the installation periods and work with the relevant parties to avoid them or achieve timely resolution.
• Assist in National Personnel training
• Mentor new team members
• Support team working and harmony and promote an effective and collaborative working environment with a ‘one team’ approach.

T&I Construction Management:

• Responsible for the safe, efficient and effective execution of the detailed T&I offshore scope
• Keep the T&I Manager informed of the key issues within the area of responsibility, proposing mitigations and recovery solutions to resolve problems.
• Responsible for managing contractor project execution performance and offshore scope delivery
• Ensure that approved construction procedures, competent relevant personnel and specified equipment are in place at time of offshore execution.
• Manage the work of the Company Construction Vessel Representatives (CVRs)
• Maintain the offshore rotas so that there is always adequate coverage on the T&I vessels
• Provide an onshore duty organisation that will be on call 24 hours for emergency response or technical support, whenever T&I vessels are mobilised
• Ensure Construction and Site management processes are in place and implemented.
• Manage communication with the Installation Contractor’s site and vessel teams to ensure rigorous tracking of safety performance, schedule progress and SIMOPs planning
• Ensure Construction and site management processes are in place and implemented.
• Provide assurance measures to evaluate and accept construction personnel and equipment.
• Provide interface management with other delivery groups (Pipelines, Marine, Diving, GSH) GOO and the contractors PMT to ensure project requirements for T&I construction are met and delivered on time.
• Work closely with the appropriate project teams to resolve conflicts in the overall interest of the project delivery

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Engineering degree or equivalent
• A minimum of 10years experience of general offshore construction and subsea installation
• Proven experience of construction vessel operations
• Proven capability of building and leading successful teams
• Experience with site management activities related to health, safety, and environmental issues
