The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide. In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Our client is currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator. Reporting to the Logistics Coordinator this position will be responsible for Assist the Logistics Coordinator in roles & responsibilities. Provide Logistics back up in the absence of the Logistics Coordinator.

The Transport Coordinator will participate in the following duties:

• Assist Logistics Coordinator in providing general oversight over the EPC Contractor’s’ Logistics Operation in relation to Module Ocean Carriage, heavy lift and all Project related Logistics.
• Shall ensure the EPC Contractor delivers robust and detailed reports, plans, and procedures to cover the Logistical Scope of Work.
• Ensure EPC Contractor continues to develop a cohesive and effective logistics strategy that meets the Construction activity schedule.
• Develop relationships ad working practices with EPC Contractor and relevant authorities: including DAFF/AQIS, Darwin Port Corporation and Customs Authorities
• Liaise with EPC Contractor and our clients package managers in both direct contracts e.g. dredging and sub-contracts through the EPC Contractor in relation to logistical activities during the early construction phases that have impact on the project progress
• Liaise with Fabrication & Construction team re delivery schedule requirements
• Provide timely & accurate reports covering the Logistics portfolio.
• Where relevant ensure the Logistics expenditure is monitored and within approved values
• Ensure that the EPC Contractor and their sub-contractors provide a service that ensures Equipment & Material deliveries to both the nominated fabrication yards and ultimately the Onshore Construction facility are transported with Project requirements
• Ensure process and controls are in place to cover Module Ocean Carriage, heavy lift to container and general cargo shipment from a worldwide seller base through the fabrication yards in China, Thailand and the Philippines.
• Ensure Export and Import customs clearance procedures, regulations and controls are adequately covered – including EPBS / TCO duty exemptions e.g. no delays in country due to customs processes
• Ensure processes and controls are in place to ensure DAFF / AQIS and Biosecurity Security Management (BSM) does not have impact on Project schedule – e.g. no incidents

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in business or equivalent professional or extensive relevant experience
• Major Oil and Gas Logistics experience is favourable but not essential
• Extensive knowledge of logistics industry
• In depth knowledge of Freight Forwarding
• SAP R/3 skills
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Organisational skills
• Strong team working ethic
• Enthusiastic & ability to multi task
• Experience in procurement environment and systems and processes coupled with a superior working knowledge of engineering, construction and service delivery practices
• Understanding of local content requirements
• Ability to work under pressure.
