The Role:
Role Synopsis:

The main purpose of this position is to provide supervision and oversight of transport fleet operations associated with the movement of personnel predominantly through the provision of light duty vehicles (LDV) and buses. This position will also be required at times to oversee waste management, fuel operations and rotational travel of personnel to/from and other project locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a leader in safely executing transportation and waste management operations.
• Contributes to safety program, health and environment protection, reliability and efficiency in order to achieve world-class performance of company's OE strategies.
• Actively participates in BBS program and contributes to IIF culture
• Work together with Transportation team, key stakeholders and other staff to better manage contractor performance in service delivery of transportation
• Direct, advise, guide and coordinate with the contractor’s to achieve scope of work deliverables
• Ensure all deliverables are in compliance with contract terms & conditions, in addition to company's expectations and requirements
• Participate in planning and review sessions with the contractor’s
• Conduct toolbox talks with contractor’s
• Review contractor plans and procedures to ensure that they meet the required deliverables and expectations
• Review contractor Work Method Statements, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) to ensure that work is conducted in accordance with agreed methods
• Ensure contractors are utilizing all applicable Safe Work Practices (SWP) and Procedures
• Review contractor’s driving behavior reports and take corrective action to address any faults
• Conduct audits and inspections on contractors equipment and records
• Supervise transportation operations to optimize fleet tasking, utilization and gain efficiencies
• Constantly monitor demand and performance to address any anomalies and minimize adverse impact to operations
• Review future plans and implement strategies to meet company's requirements within areas of responsibility
• Authorize vehicle tasking and review timesheets
• Conduct 30/60/90 day look aheads for reporting and tasking purposes
• Ensure servicing and maintenance is performed in accordance with the contract
• Assist with incident investigations to determine the root cause and take action accordingly
• Review all vehicle repair requests
• Manage bus timetables
• Oversee waste management operations
• Conduct mentoring and coaching of the contractor teams to develop their level of competence and knowledge of company's procedures and expectations.
• Ensure contractors are maintaining current permits, licenses, passes
• Conduct contractor performance reviews and develop campaigns and strategies to influence improvement in performance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• At least 8 years of experience in a transportation and/or logistics related role in the Oil & Gas industry.
Construction/major capital project experience desirable.
• English (level 3+ and higher) – Kazakh and/or Russian is also an advantage

Must be familiar with:
• Personnel transport operations
• Fleet management practices
• Working in a multi-cultural workplace/project with multi-disciplined teams
• Occupational Safety regulations and practices
• Basics of Labor Code
• Basics of Economics
• Labor Management

Must have the skills to:
• Formulate the work group’s plan of actions according to set priorities
• Interpret contract terms and conditions for execution of scope of work performed by contractor’s
• Extract the necessary information and determine the possible root causes of a problem
• Make balanced decisions based on assessment of situation and considering the consequences
• Work independently without any external support
