The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Our client is looking for a Trenching Site Engineer to join their team on a rotational basis

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Being a member of a Site/Offshore based multifunctional construction team responsible for supervision of the secondary stabilisation construction activities associated with the project development.
The secondary stabilisation includes trenching, sand backfill and rockdumping using a vessel spread comprising; Backhoe Dredge, Cutter Suction Dredge, Trailer Hopper Suction Dredges, Side Stone Dump Vessels and Fall Pipe Vessels and supporting auxiliary vessels.

Reporting to the Package Lead and Site/Offshore Senior Client Representative, the Secondary Stabilisation Engineer has particular responsibility for technical assurance and quality control of all construction activities associated with the execution of the project trunkline and flowlines secondary stabilisation scope of work.

The role also requires: review of as-built reports; assisting in providing field resolution solutions to issues as they arise; assisting in review of the contractor’s daily progress report, including productive and non-productive hours worked, and any disputed time; providing input into contractor’s work practices to ensure safe operations, environmental compliance and maximise efficiencies; and participation in daily and weekly site management meetings and inspections/audits as required. An additional responsibility is actively participating in HES management and supporting project wide safety initiatives including development and implementation of an safety culture.
The secondary stabilisation engineer will work alongside a health and safety advisor, environmental advisor, and surveyor.

The role requires a positive and effective working relationship within the secondary stabilisation team, the contractor and other personnel and contractors.

The position will be based on rotation 4 weeks on 4 weeks off on board contractor vessels/site office, and may involve visits to Perth office. Complete the necessary On-boarding, project familiarisation and training prior to mobilisation to site

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Tertiary education preferred - not mandatory
10 Years minimum in marine construction engineering and management with at least 5 years experience in pipeline trenching/dredging and backfilling/rockdumping.
In depth knowledge of marine construction equipment and construction methodologies related to pipeline trenching/dredging and backfilling/rockdumping in particular associated with oil and gas activities. Excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to achieve milestones and work collaboratively within a team. Visible demonstration of commitment to development and maintenance of a comprehensive HSE culture. The candidate should have specific experience in the marine construction aspects of nearshore and deepwater secondary stabilisation of large diameter trunklines and flowlines including dredging/trenching and backfilling/rockdumping with Backhoe Dredge, Cutter Suction Dredge, Trailer Hopper Suction Dredges, Side Stone Dump Vessels and Fall Pipe Vessels and supporting au
