The Company:
Our major Oil & Gas Client is in need of a Triconex Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) Test Director in Houston, Texas.

The Role:
Position description - Purpose
To provide leadership and direction for Triconex Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to support a Crude Expansion Project. The position will be leading a multi-person team and will be responsible for ensuring adherence to Client’s standards.
To work together with the Project Triconex lead to drive the testing schedule while ensuring quality and technical standards are met. This person will be expected to take an active role in the actual testing.
The project has 38 Triconex systems that must pass full functional testing prior to startup.
Duration of this job expected to correspond to length of testing and could vary depending on the number of teams deployed. Tentative duration: 3 to 6 months with start date approximately October 1, 2011. Position could potentially be extended to include startup support if desired by the site.
Position description - Accountabilities
The incumbent will functionally report to the Project Triconex Lead and will be an integral part of the Triconex Testing Team.
The incumbent will administratively report to the P&T Automation Team Leader.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with test plan development.
- Provide oversight and direction to the testing team.
- Provide technical assurance per Client standards
- Take an active role in the testing.
- Track progress of testing and drive schedule.
- Escalate any issues to the Project Triconex Lead, or designee.
The incumbent is expected to fully comply with all Client HSSE guidelines and policies.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and Qualifications required
1. Excellent planner and organizer.
2. Effective oral and written communicator with all levels in the organization.
3. Independent, objective and decisive.
4. Understands management systems and processes.
5. Determine root cause(s) of problems.
6. Effectively lead and/or participate in diverse teams.
7. Discern the applicability of Client technical standards relative to the activity.
8. Independent use of personal computing applications, e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer.

Desired Experience
1. At least 5 years working experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
2. Experience configuring and programming Triconex systems.
3. Experience developing Triconex test procedures.
4. Triconex FAT and/or SAT experience.
5. Knowledgeable in reading and understanding P&IDs
6. Knowledge of testing procedures and capabilities of field instruments (including HART devices).
7. Ability to lead a small team
