The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Prototype Build Operations are responsible for the construction of VP prototypes to enable vehicle and Rig Testing to be conducted during the vehicle development programme. The Build Engineer role covers the following aspects. Whole vehicle build assembly process development and validation. BOM / specification validation using dedicated systems. Liaise with Proto MP&L to ensure parts supply meets build requirements. Provide leadership and technical direction to a multi-skilled team of vehicle fitters. Ensure vehicle quality and integrity meets programme specifications. Manage critical torque data gathering via control plans and attribute checks. Lead component engineers to ensure quality resolutions of in build issues. Recording all build concerns via Concern & Countermeasure, and manage and cascade Prototype Build deliverables. Leading Concern and Countermeasure daily reviews, with Program Management and Launch Leaders. Manage Prototype Build Quality Operating System during builds.

**Skills Required: Automotive development experience / Vehicle assembly processes and management.**

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proven ability to influence and/or manage people. Candidate must have a record of proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines. Able to be flexible with working arrangements including overtime where required. Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels. The ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision when necessary to deliver key objectives. Understanding of vehicle programme delivery processes & procedures. High degree of inter-personal skills. A full driving licence. Highly motivated self starter who can work to tight deadlines. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Good Business Acumen.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The successful applicant should have the capability to drive and motivate the team to achieve results and continually implement process improvements. They must be self-motivated to achieve deadlines and be pro-active in anticipating and preventing any build stopping issues, whilst ensuring that the quality of the product is not compromised by achieving the timing plan.
