The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
As a Turnaround Planner you will be responsible for:
Ensure all safety aspects of the job are included in the job plan
Ensure all work plans comply with all procedures and policies
Interface with Operations, Inspections, contractors and engineering to develop accurate and workable work scopes
Field verify work for accuracy in work plan and include latest technology in the plan
Develop complete job plans with correct coding in the Planning/Execution tool
Assist in development of the TA Worklist; Communicates worklist quality standard to business team to facilitate hand of of worklist to planning during worklist closure; Supports worklist risk-based planning prior to worklist closure; Leads development of repair vs. replace recommendations
Comply to T-minus schedule and milestones & early identification that key milestones may not be met
Update Job Pack Tracking sheets
Review schedule of individual equipment (CPM) communicate any concerns to lead planner
Develop Safe Job Packs complete with-JSA, Sketches/ drawings, rescue plans, ventilation plans, hazard ID, MSDS and PPE requirements
Assist Lead Planner with reviews and sign off of job pack
Prepare closure forms for all equipment
Assist Lead planner with ready for operation documents / book
Identify and communicate to Lead Planner logistic issues ie: cranes , vacuum trucks, lay down area’s, scaffold yard
Identify all materials required in Planning/Execution tool work plan
Interface with Materials Coordinator to ensure material issued as required from storehouse through Tiger
Lead site visits with selected Contractors to review work plans
Interface with Materials Coordinator to identify and follow up on status of long delivery of material in order to meet schedules
Communicate to lead planner any material issues or concerns
Review contractor selection with lead planners
Identify any engineering drawings required for execution of job plan
Participate in SMED reviews (optimize critical path)
Identify pre turnaround requirements and track progress vs. schedule
Complete confined space entry pre meeting for all vessels per SSWP and TA Manual.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Turnaround Maintenance Planner you will have experience in:
Working knowledge of P6 Primavera scheduling software
Experience in planning petroleum refinery or petrochemical plant maintenance turnaround
Experience in planning maintenance work at FCC units, specifically on reactor & regenerator equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

- CSA-approved safety work boots
- CSA-approved safety glasses "spoggles"
