The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
1. Provide expertise on failures and repair techniques during root-cause investigations.
2. Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluate equipment’s design to meet its intended use or existing service conditions.
3. Ensure that repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc., during repairs are provided and documented. Provide technical support as needed.
4. Ensure that repair techniques, repair procedures, and equipment-specific training are documented and accessible.
5. Provide technical support for specification, identification and purchasing of needed parts.
6. Provide maintainability input to project methodology, Six Sigma and other improvement activities.
7. As appropriate and required, review spare parts’ list for existing equipment and work with MRO to ensure that parts are identified, added and stocked in the MRO system in support of the Reliability Strategy.
8. Develop Reliability procedures based on Most Effective Technology (MET).
9. Enter quality complaints into the QSPP system.
10. Participate with RE in developing the equipment Maintenance Strategy by providing technical and historical information.
11. Participate in developing the maintenance budget to support the Reliability Strategy.
12. Serve as a technical resource to the planner on work packages.
13. Provide input on scope of work during development of turnaround work.
14. Evaluate Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) activities and determine appropriate action.
15. Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety processes.
16. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor / manager.
Refractory Technician/Technologist
• Serve as SME for all work related to refractory and refractory applications and techniques.
• Advise on reliability and improvement issues related to refractory and refractory

Minimum requirements:
1. Two-year associates Technical Degree and 10-14 years experience or experience in petrochemical maintenance or engineering is required
2. 8-11 years experience should include providing technical support services for refractory/chemical resistant masonry, fireproofing, and technical ceramics applications for capital projects and maintenance.
3. A firm understanding of Blue Prints and construction drawings is required. API 936 Inspection & Testing certification is required. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of equipment standards/specifications, applicable design codes, and repair methods is required..
4. At least 5 years in-plant experience is required.
