The Company:
Our client is a large multi-national organization which explores, develops, produces and markets crude oil, gas and sulfur. They pride themselves in conducting operations in accordance with the world–class safety and environmental standards.

The Role:
The TA Planning Engineer will be responsible for the preparation, progress updating and maintenance of project construction Tie-in schedules and related procurement etc interfaces at all levels to ensure control of construction work during the coming Turn Around.
The TA Planning Engineer will relocate to the Project Planning organization following completion of the 2012 Turn Around to carry out support duties for Construction.
•Develop, empower and mentor Kazakh national planning staff in all aspects of construction planning and schedule management.
•Work with the Turn Around Planning team to produce detailed construction master schedules using critical path network format with discipline resource allocations, and co-ordinate with Operations for systems handover and SGE Planning & Construction teams.
•Use the TA approved Work Breakdown Structure and Schedule Hierarchy, and company’s corporate Primavera P6 software package to create well structured schedule report formats to inform management of forward plans, current forecasts and status.
•Coordinate and audit schedule content from TA contractors and incorporate the information gathered into the TA construction master schedule. Confirm that critical paths are realistic and highlight problem areas with recommended remedial actions
•Monitor, assess and forecast progress of activities of interfaces and construction contractors’ work.
•Set up construction progress assessment basis and reporting system. Prepare plan/actual/ forecast progress curves, histograms, tabulations and other schedule graphics.
•Prepare/ collate weekly and monthly TA construction progress reports with deviation analysis for input into overall project status reports for management and partners.
•Assist TA & Construction team in developing alternative execution strategies for critical work areas to resolve problems before or during execution.
•Assist in the development of the Preparedness document that details the status of each tie-in with respect to our readiness to complete the work.
•Assist cost control group with planning of expenditure, progress and value of work evaluation and forecasting.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years Oil/Gas or Petrochemical capital projects experience, with at least 10 years onsite construction experience. Hands-on user of Primavera P5/ P6 planning software for schedule development, resourcing and bespoke report/ graphics generation. Turn Around experience would be an advantage.
Qualifications: Recognized higher engineering qualification.
