The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

Role is based in Sarnia

The Role:
The Turnaround Planner will have the responsibility:

Sarnia is seeking up to 5 TA Planners for work on their 2016 and 2017 TA's
Up to 18 months of work

The planner will regularly interface with project engineering to maintain accurate, updated information; assist in determining scheduling priorities and prepare complex engineering and construction schedules for projects.

The planner will demonstrate strong teamwork, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills in order to work effectively with multiple departments as well as various internal and external customers

Responsibilities:

This would be support planning, looking at piping, vessels & exchangers
Preparing complex engineering and construction schedules for projects
Maintaining complex schedules
Preparing reports for management regarding project scheduling activities
Ensuring the maintenance of all other essential records and reports
Maintaining liaison with project management regarding scheduling activities and assisting them in determining schedule priorities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
College or University graduation in Engineering or similar with a minimum of three - five years planning and scheduling experience, preferably on Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
Working knowledge of the elements of project management systems
Considerable knowledge of planning and scheduling methods and procedures
Proficient with relevant computer applications including Primavera (P6), MS Project and MS Office
Self-starter, detail oriented
Strong teamwork, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills
