The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The Turnaround Support Operations Planner will have the responsibilities:

• Responsible for “systemization” of the production unit, which includes breaking down the unit process into logical identification of systems and sub-systems.
• Reviews previous TA critiques for improvements and incorporates them into the plan
• Identify any CTA’s required for execution and provide necessary information to the facilitator

• Creates the operations system packages which includes;
o System scope list
o Marked up P&ID’s
o Isolation list
o Blind list
o Procedures
o Entry Blind list

• Creates the decontamination system packages that include;
o Isolation list
o Blind list
o Temporary line list
o Procedures
o Marked up P&ID’s
• Works closely with the block lead planner to ensure all identified scope is captured within a system and will be prepared for maintenance
• Reviews the Shutdown and Start up schedule and provides input into the logical sequence for system turnover to and from maintenance
• Identifies all operational scaffold needs to support decon, isolation and commissioning.
• Participate & provide input in development and administering training plan for Operations personnel for the turnaround event.
• Leads system review sessions and procedure reviews with the unit operations prior to the turnaround
• Interfaces with unit PS to stay current on unit conditions and incorporates changes into the TA procedures and packages
• Act as the PS designate for initialing entry permits
• Identify logistical needs for Operations including permit writing facilities, field offices, meeting rooms, etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
MINIMUM OF A FOURTH CLASS POWER ENGINEERING CERTIFICATE, THIRD CLASS PREFERRED

MINIMUM TWO YEARS OPERATIONS EXPERIENCE (PREFERABLY UPGRADER / REFINERY) IN AN EQUIVALENT INDUSTRIAL PLANT SETTING

PREVIOUS TURNAROUND, COMMISSIONING AND START UP EXPERIENCE AN ASSET
