The Role:
The Turret Engineer reports to the Topsides Lead Engineer. The Turret Engineer will facilitate technical communication between the project team and the turret engineering contractor during detailed the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.

• The experience of a leading role in the design and fabrication of a turret/moorings system is essential
• Technical professional with proven experience in Marine-related engineering disciplines and with delivery of FPSO projects
• Able to apply appropriate technical standards and lead negotiations with contractors to deliver technical requirements
• An understanding of turret discipline interfaces
• Able to apply HSE principles across all project technical activities
• Able to apply appropriate technical standards and lead negotiations with contractors to deliver technical requirements
• Actively Assist Hull Design Team with technical inputs as required
• Review contractor supplied documentation for compliance and accuracy
• Work with contractors interface engineers to ensure that interfaces between contractors are managed
• Perform any duties assigned by the Engineering Manager
• Participate in PEER assists, PEER reviews, HSSE reviews and other value improving workshops
• Be a pro-active member of the Project Team performing any tasks necessary to make the Knarr project a success

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• FPSO experience is required
• Turret design experience is required
• Educated in an engineering discipline (first degree preferred, HND minimum or equivalent)
• Fluent in English;

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Conversational Norwegian a benefit
• Norway experience is preferred
• Good team player with a pro-active and flexible attitude, and able to work in a multi-cultural environment
