Job Title: Turret Package Quality Engineer

The Company:
Our client is a global operator in the oil and gas industry

The Role:
The Turret Package Quality Engineer shall be responsible for the coordination of inspections including third party attendance, package engineer’s attendance and IVB. A key part of this is to ensure that all the documentation is ready and in place prior to these test and that any records that come out of the tests are clear, correct, endorsed and filed in the system in a timely manner. To this end the responsibilities will also include the coordinating of vendor documentation to ensure that all engineering comments have been incorporated, changes endorsed by the relevant technical authority, and all data and records are being lodged in the system.

Ultimately the position will aim to deliver quality by:

1. Ensuring the effective implementation of the existing tools and processes by the project team and its contractors.
2. Ensuring test and inspections are carried out on time and in accordance with the marked up ITPs.
3. Monitoring and verifying documentation and data against the predetermined criteria laid out in the project specifications, plans and strategies so as to progressively report outstanding issues and ultimately deliver a complete set of package information.

Inspection Coordination
1) Coordinate third party, package engineer and IVB attendance at vendor inspections and tests;
2) Occasionally attend vendor inspections and tests,
3) Review vendor documentation,
4) Monitor, report and expedite comments to vendor documents;
5) Attend pre-production meetings as required;
6) Roll-out BP Golden Rules at PPM or KoM;
7) Write / issue reports;
8) Action tracking.

Procurement Data and Documents
9) Maintain action tracker from procurement clarification meetings;
10) Maintain dashboard for procurement related technical issues, such as NCR, TQ, SVR;
11) Verify closure of project EQs and Deviations associated with vendor packages;
12) Track and expedite vendor data requirements including registers, tagging, lists, etc;
13) Initiate and track Package Closeout with the Contractor.

14) Review EU certification for compliance including: ATEX, Machinery Directive, and PED Directive;
15) Review material and test certificates;
16) Maintaining a file of NORSOK M650 qualified suppliers;
17) Review DNV mooring system certification;
18) Maintaining certification dashboard.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical skills:
• Understanding of materials supply and fabrication.
• Inspection theory and techniques.
• Understanding of materials engineering and valve packages.
• Evaluation and resolution of quality issues.
• Ability to track, monitor and expedite technical comments.
• Presentation skills as required.

• Higher level qualification preferably in Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years relevant experience in projects and manufacturing.
• Inspection coordination.
• Certification.
• EU Regulations.
• Comprehensive project experience especially through the procurement phases.
• Experience with EPC style FPSO type contracts
• Experience with turret type mooring systems.
• Experienced in dashboards and excel trackers.
• Strong understanding of quality controls, materials and fabrication.

• Proactively seeking advice from others and share own experiences with group
