The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
The Turret Package Quality Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring package integrity throughout the TMS supply chain from RFQ stage to delivery at site locations. A key part of this role is to ensure that all contractor procured package / equipment and documentation is compliant to the relevant project codes/standards and specification requirements in close liaison with the relevant TMS discipline Package Engineers.

Responsibilities will also include coordinating vendor documentation and to assistance to engineering to ensure all comments have been incorporated, changes endorsed by the relevant technical authority, and verification that all data and records are logged in the project data management system.

Attendance at preinspection meetings, audits, inspections and tests with relevant Company and Contractor representatives including third parties such as IVB is of prime importance. In addition the assurance that all relevant vendor documentation is reviewed and coded by the project within the contractual requirements prior to these inspections and tests and that any records that come out of the visit are clear, correct, endorsed and filed in the system in a timely manner.

Ultimately the position will aim to deliver quality by:

1. Ensuring the effective implementation of the existing tools and processes by the project team and its contractor;
2. Ensuring test and inspections are carried out on time and in accordance with the marked up ITPs;
3. Monitoring and verifying documentation and data against the predetermined criteria laid out in the project specifications, plans and strategies so as to progressively report outstanding issues;
4. Coordinate the final documentation review and package closeout process for designated packages. .

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical skills:
• Understanding of materials supply;
• Inspection theory and techniques;
• Evaluation and resolution of quality issues;
• Ability to track, monitor and expedite technical comments;
• Presentation skills as required.

• Higher level qualification preferably in Engineering or related discipline;
• 10+ years relevant experience in projects and manufacturing;
• Inspection coordination;
• Certification;
• EU Regulations;
• Comprehensive project experience within the supply chain and procurement of packages;
• Experience with EPC style FPSO type contracts;
• Experience with turret type mooring systems;
• Strong understanding of quality controls, materials and fabrication.
• ISO 9001:2008 Lead auditor training undertaken by a body recognised by IRCA.
