The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
We are looking for a user experience designer with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging user experiences. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This individual excels at providing both highly analytical as well as highly creative ideas to a design engagement. The candidate will ideally have experience in a fast-paced and innovative development environment.

The position includes the development of future design concepts, the development of a feasible theme, and the creation of graphical and animation masters.
The position requires the ability to deliver production quality masters for the full graphical interface and therefore demonstrable Graphical Design and Animation skills are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Executing interaction design and visual design to wire frame specifications
Generation of supporting documents for implementation of graphical assets into a vehicle environment
Maintenance of graphical asset libraries and associated documents
Collaborating on user experience planning
Working directly with suppliers and internal customers
Researching interaction infotainment design, control and technology trends as appropriate
Researching technology trends
Performing other duties as assigned

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Design experience for software, vehicle UI design, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices
Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, drawing skills and sketchbook technique
Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail
Ability to create wireframes as well as visual design comps
Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and associated design tools
Experience with user interface design patterns.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of common software project management practices
Understanding of common software development practices

ADDITIONAL
InDesign, Flash, 3Ds Max, Maya, After Effects, rendering and animation
Microsoft Visio and Rightware Kanzi would be an advantage but not essential
Motion graphics design and production
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in interaction design, new media design, automotive design or related design field
Some travel is required
Portfolio to accompany resume
