The Role:
The purpose of this role is to ensure E&P G&A costs are accurately reported and budgeted, and that costs are recovered from JV partners through time-writing allocations where possible. The role is critical in ensuring that cost control is tightly managed and that the UKNL Leadership team have clarity and visibility of their cost base. The individual will be responsible for managing the team to ensure that they produce high quality reporting and drive efficiencies and improvements. Key Success factors include: - Production of accurate, timely and concise reporting of G&A costs with explanations for any variances - UKNL Leadership will have ownership and understanding of their cost base and be able to have an informed discussion in order to agree their Op Plan and understand any potential risks & opportunities - Implementation of new TW allocation process - Continuous improvement in monthly reporting processes in order to streamline work , maintain good audit trail and optimise JV/tax recoveries.

Accountabilities - Ensure accurate reporting of G&A costs for the E&P teams in the Aberdeen office, ensuring that monthly costs are a true reflection of actual position and making accruals & prepayments where necessary - Meet with Cost Centre managers on a monthly basis to review & discuss monthly performance of their costs, review recoveries, and discuss any potential cost overruns or areas for concern - Responsible for ensuring that recoveries from time-writing mechanism are reasonable - Recharge Corporate Allocations to each of the E&P Regions, managing allocations of Group recharges, liaising with the regional teams to ensure they have accrued correctly and bill each entity when costs are final. - Responsible for monthly Integrity Review for Corporate Region, explaining variances, and attend monthly review meeting - Responsible for co-ordinating and reporting of G&A plan, giving clarity to UKNL Leadership team on cost base, challenging where necessary and input in planning tool. - Work with the Finance Manager & Financial Controller to implement & document a new TW allocation process, due to the on-going re-organisation of the E&P- Other ad-hoc responsibilities, including responsibility for transfer pricing documents and liaising with Tax teams and JV teams where necessary - Staff Management – Responsible for management and development for team of 1 finance analyst. - Demonstrate own belief in and support for HSEQ policies, procedures and standards. Establish and maintain a high level of HSEQ awareness among personnel and encourage their commitment to meeting HSEQ standards. Contribute to ensuring HSEQ objectives and targets are met.

Ensure employees have the knowledge, skills and support to do their own jobs safely and can protect and promote the safety of others and the environment while achieving the department/business targets. - Financial Responsibility: No direct financial responsibility – however, the role is instrumental in helping UKNL understand its performance and meet its targets. - Complexity: The role requires an ability to assimilate large volumes of data / information and present it in a coherent succinct manner. Drive process improvements and ensure UKNL leadership have confidence and ability to make well informed decisions. Skills/knowledge/expertise: - Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business & to act on management feedback in a timely manner.
