The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Working within the Subsea, Flowlines & Pipelines (SSFP) Team, the Subsea Umbilicals Package Engineer will be responsible for the daily management of the Subsea Production and SSIV Umbilicals equipment delivery process.

This will entail business travel from Perth, Australia to the Subsea Installation Contractor (SIC) and Subsea Umbilicals Vendor facilities during Phase 4, however further duties will include participation in post-build test programs (EFAT and SIT) through to the installation and pre-commissioning of the umbilicals/equipment subsea and the integration of the Platform systems. Additional business travel could be required to the Subsea Equipment Vendors (SEV) facilities in Singapore, Malaysia and/or Norway.

It is planned that the umbilicals contracts be included within the scope of work of the SIC contract. The principle workscope will encompass:
• Monitoring of the Subsea Installation Contractor works to ensure compliance with the specifications;
• Weekly, and as necessary daily, communication of schedule progress, successes and challenges;
• Participation in the system engineering of the Subsea Umbilicals systems;
• Participation in the detail engineering of the Subsea Umbilicals systems;
• Input to/from the system engineering and detail engineering of the Subsea Production and SSIV Control sytsems;
• Participation in design reviews and workshops (HAZOP, HAZID etc);
• Monitoring of the Subsea Umbilicals systems during build to ensure technical compliance, maintenance of quality standards, validity of qualification and testing and maintenance of build schedule;
• Participation in FATs, both for umbilicals and for the subsea system;
• Day-to-day management of Site Representative at the Subsea Umbilicals Vendor facility;
• Liaison with other SSFP groups (Subsea Production and SSIV Control systems, Trees, Manifolds, Wheatstone Platform Topsides, Installation engineering, etc) to ensure prompt and controlled interchange of information;
• Management and logistical control of on-site free-issue and test equipment. of Subsea Umbilicals (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic/chThe role is part of a multifunctional project team responsible for managing the Project upstream scope including, detailed design, construction, installation, hook-up, commissioning and start-up of the Platform and subsea / pipeline facilities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified (Engineering/Mechanical/Civil/Materials ), but relevance experience may be acceptable
10 Years Desired
Demonstrated design knowledge of Direct and Electro-Hydraulic subsea Umbilicals systems and how these interface with subsea distribution and equipment systems. Excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to manage engineering consultants to defined schedules and work collaboratively.
