Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Upgrade Engineer to work within the Az GPO Major Projects Vessel Upgrade Team to achieve Major Projects delivery promises for Project.
• Interface with the GPO project teams to ensure vessel upgrades are effectively developed and executed to suit project requirements.
• Provide electrical design and operational expertise, particularly related to marine vessels
• Manage contractors to achieve HSE targets leading to a safe and efficient execution of all workscopes.

Maintain awareness of, and promote, project goals in respect of HS&E, QA, Schedule, and Technical Integrity, including Participation in regular audit activities.
Commit Project and Contractor Management Teams to establish project strategies, philosophies and procedures to successfully execute the construction activities related to subsea installations, ensuring that Client corporate guidelines, shareholder expectations and project HS&E policies are reflected.
Input into the Statement of Requirements (SOR) and Project Execution Plan (PEP) as required.
Participate in project Risk analysis, HAZID/HAZOP activities.
Ensure that Lessons Learned from earlier Caspian projects are appropriately considered and implemented where appropriate in all relevant Diving Support Vessel installation activities.
• Assist design Contractor on construction and installation issues.
• Assist in the evaluation of technical submissions for the upgrade and modification of vessels and associated offshore equipment.
• Review and input into DP system design – Upgrade of Barge to DP3 vessel RMRS classification
• Review and input in to power generation and tensioner upgrades to pipelay barge.
• Review and input into equipment replacement (Azimuth thrusters and main crane) on DSV
• Review technical requirements from internal delivery teams.
• Manage studies and reviews performed by independent 3rd parties.
• Provide support to offshore operations during critical installation activities, commissioning periods, mobilisation etc.
• Input to the preparation and updating of control estimates.
• Provide input to Assurance Manager Risk Register.
• Monitor contractor’s reporting and investigate any anomalies.
• Lead by example in HSE, Quality and open communication with team and Contractors.
• Provide lead input into potential new build vessel for project.
• Ensure asset availability to support project requirements.
• Ensure upgrade design meets the needs of the project.
• Manage preparation and updating of control estimates.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Project Engineering - Vessel Upgrades/Conversions/New Builds
• Electrical Apprentice or technical qualification
• Electrical operational experience on DP vessels
