The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Position: Upgrades Engineering Manager

Location: Ankara, Turkey

Status: Resident

Duration: 12months+

•Ensuring that all necessary technical work (Appraise/Select) is completed to enable approval of the Project Define Gate in 2Q 2012 and subsequently FID in June 2013
•Selecting the multidiscipline members of the Client Partner Upgrade Engineering Team in accordance with Region procedures and in consultation with the Turkey & EU Pipelines
•Establish a cordial and professional relationship with the Client Partner Engineering Team and its engineering contractors, and ensure each member of the Client Team is ‘tagged’ to a Client Partner engineer.
•In the period (up to Jun 2012) prior to activation of the GTA engage with the Client under the TCA to agree the results of a Client Partner network analysis, and a Client Partner forward work programme
•After GTA activation monitor the technical performance of Client Partner and its contractors/consultants developing an upgrades scope for a credible upgrading scheme, cost and schedule to be used in the proposed tariff model, ensuring that sufficient technical information is provided for an investment decision
•Give necessary approvals to Client Partner plans, including selection of engineering contractors, environmental consultants and major suppliers
•Develop and maintain a register of technical issues, including where there is significant deviation from Client Group technical standards.
•Manage the performance of the Client Partner Upgrade Interface Team ensuring compliance with the allocated budget, planning the execution of the Team’s work, and allocation of responsibilities to the 2 direct reports
•Preparing plans and budgets for executing the work in accordance with CVP stage requirements, and seeking the necessary approvals
•Manage third party contractors and consultants
•Representation at Project Partner meetings, ie FFD, ETT, ENT
•Compliance with Cleint, Client Partners and Caspian Region policies, technical standards (where applicable) and procedures, and ensure staff do so
•Support to the Turkey & EU Pipelines Project
•Support to other internal stakeholders,
•Networking within Client and Caspian Region to ensure use of ‘best practice’ and ‘lessons learnt’, eg Pipeline Project in Turkey
•Assessment, coaching and development of Client staff

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
15 years expereince oil and gas (Pipelines, Pump stations, Export lines etc...)
Higher education with academic qualifications for country work permit requirements
