The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source a Upstream Commissioning Lead - Onshore Pipelines to be part of their Upstream Commissioning team based in Papua New Guinea.

The Upstream Commissioning Lead will assist with the development of commissioning organisation structures, planning, mobilisation and field execution of pipelines and associated Above Ground Installations (AGI), including mainline valve stations, power generation and utilities and impressed current cathodic protection.

Responsibilities and duties include:

Leads the development of Systems Completion strategies, execution plans, procedures and associated metrics that are aligned with start-up strategies for pipelines and AGI.

Interfaces with PT, Turnover and Acceptance Coordinator, Start-up Team, and Operations to ensure that the Commissioning and Start-up Teams are fully conversant with the Systems Completion Model.

Monitors contractor’s static and dynamic commissioning activities, assists in resolution of systems completion related issues to ensure satisfactory quality is attained.

Assists the Commissioning Manager to manage Systems Completion interfaces between PT and EPC Contractors to facilitate successful commissioning and hand-over.

Assists Commissioning Manager in working with the Start up Team to achieve successful turnover, start up, and acceptance by Operations.

Leads and provides guidance to the EPC Contractors in the development of Systems Completion documents during detailed design (Systems / Sub-systems development, mechanical completion and static commissioning work packs and supporting check sheets, Turnover Completion Packages, and preservation plans).

Receives and coordinates Systems Completion documentation submitted by EPC Contractors to obtain appropriate EMDC and EMPC endorsements and approvals.

Assists EPC Contractors to update the Systems Completion Plan at appropriate Check Points to ensure it is in accordance with the approved Project Systems Completion Strategy. Ensures alignment with Project Engineering, Construction, Quality, Procurement and Start Up/Operations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

In-depth experience in commissioning of Upstream Oil & Gas facilities.
Knowledge of Gas and Condensate Pipelines, Mainline Valve Stations, Power Generation and Support Utility Systems, Metering, Fiber Optic Cable Networks, Impressed Current Cathodic Protection Systems, ICS/SIS Systems and SCADA Systems.


Engineering degree desirable or technical qualification recognized by the company
