Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Computing Project Manager to join the communications team, based in the heart of the CBD.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

• Provide the first Project Management interface for Upstream Technical Computing(UTC) project teams in delivering Applications and Data Management Projects
• Define and manage role definition and performance of resources on all designated projects
• Ensure projects have sufficient capacity and capability to deliver initiatives on time and budget and in a compliant manner
• Apply Project Development and Execution Processes in a fit-for-purpose manner to deliver agreed project outcome
• Ensure projects are scoped and planned in accordance with PDEP and appropriate approvals are sought
• Implement Corporate-endorsed standards within UTC Projects
• Ensure ongoing alignment with corporate data management initiatives
• Ensure compliance with IM & IT policies in relation to Application and data management delivery including Project Management Office (PMO) reporting, documentation and project compliance requirements
• Ensure project delivery issues and risks are proactively managed and communicated
• Propose actionable items to resolve issues and risks, escalating as required
• Keep all relevant project stakeholders informed regarding project progress including timely and transparent status reporting
• Capture items not within the approved project scope and apply the approved change request process, ensuring project is delivered to an agreed time and budget
• Engage with IS Operational Teams to undertake specific responsibilities and deliverables in the project, including: Providing guidance and sub plans to implement Applications, Data Management or Infrastructure related aspects of the project, coordinating the allocation of Project, Technical Infrastructure or Business Analyst resources to support the project(s) implementation
• Ensuring the requirements for engagement and operations handover are met Stakeholder and Relationship Management
• Be the primary point of contact regarding: Progress updates on delivery, issues and risks. Escalated issues regarding the performance of any of the project team members, clarification of project scope or changes to scope, Review and acceptance of project deliverables
• Manage the expectations of key customers
• Manage the engagement with 3rd parties, ensuring appropriate input is sought from other project team members (e.g. the Solutions Architect in the review of technical deliverables) Leadership and Teamwork
• Facilitate the resolution of issues soliciting input from project team members and respectfully leverage the knowledge and experience of team members to the gain of the project
• Actively acknowledge the performance of others and ensure team adheres to the principles and company values
• Ensure the teams are adequately resourced allowing a healthy “work-life” balance for all team members, without compromising project delivery

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this position you will demonstrate the following;

• 4-6 years experience is a similar position
• Tertiary Level qualifications in Subsurface Disciplines or Technical IT or Industry experience equivalent.
• Desired is an understanding of standard subsurface technical computing platforms, knowledge of E & P data and master data management.
• PMI or equivalent (Prince2)

Position is for 12 months, located in Perth, working 8 hours per day.
