The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Job Purpose

Under the General Accounting Manager the incumbent, prepare USGAAP Financial Statements, research USGAAP and IFRS for complex accounting issues, and establish and validate SOX controls.

Role and Responsibilities

Role: USGAAP Accountant

1. Providing support and assistance to the general accountant to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data recorded in the general ledger (SAP) for all Sadara entities under USGAAP
2. Prepare USGAAP Financial Statements.
3. Research US GAAP & IFRS accounting subjects.
4. Review & validation of reconciliation of Financial Statements (IFRS Vs US GAAP)
5. Review & validation of equity/VIE accounting for JVs under US GAAP.
6. Establish and validate SOX controls
7. Development & documentation of procedures for areas of responsibility.
8. Oversight of US GAAP SAP ledger.
9. Review & validation of quarterly financial statements reported to Shareholders
10. Attestations (Quarterly/Year-end) under US GAAP.
11. Establish and provide data required for 10-Q and 10-K.
12. Preparation of ad-hoc reports under US GAAP.
13. Coaching responsibilities to develop US GAAP permanent resources.
14. Liaison point with External Auditors for US GAAP reporting/auditing requirements.

Education, Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor in Finance, Accounting or related academic experience
• Overall years of experience between 8 and 11 years
• SAP Experience
• Extensive knowledge of USGAAP Standards
• Knowledge of IFRS Standards
• SOX controls experience
• General Accounting experience
