The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Utilities (hot) Commissioning Supervisor to work offshore in Kazakhstan on a fresh new project.
Main Responsibilities:
- To provide the project management with an accurate assessment of the commissioning requirements and status to ensure subsequent decisions are well founded.
- To ensure the commissioning work meets the Project objectives by conducting all necessary supervision of commissioning activities, development, preparation & execution work; monitoring Mechanical Completion & pre-commissioning activities associated with Hot Utilities.
- Support offshore activities of contractors and subcontractors
- Supervise the commissioning of the utilities infrastructure.
- Provide support to the Facilities Management team as they oversee the operations and maintenance of the Project infrastructure.
- Ensuring necessary HSE reviews are undertaken & identified actions completed
- Attending reviews for commissioning and preparation for start-up requirements.
- Overseeing the preparation of all necessary Contractor’s Commissioning Plans and Procedures.
- Overseeing all necessary commissioning preparation work (monitoring preservation, monitoring of mechanical completion and pre-commissioning activities, commissioning temporaries, etc).
- Advising on the acceptance of the formal Handover from contractors at Pre-commissioning completion stage.
- Preparing all commissioning planning and estimate documents in cooperation with Commissioning Group.
- Overseeing contractor’s commissioning and support to start-up scope.

The details for the position are as folows:
Contract length: 12 Months
Salary: Day Rate - Negotiable per day
Rotation: 28/28

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with aspects of instrumentation
- Instrumentation Design experience
- Offshore Certifications, survival and medical documentation
- Engineering Degree or equivalent (HNC, HND etc.)
- 5 years experience in senior technical role and management of contractor/supplier personnel.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- 10 years experience working in the oil and Gas industry
- Overseas expeience
- Instrumentation, buildings and marine commissioning/operations/maintenance experience
- Professional competencies acquired in the commissioning of major O&G Projects worldwide.
- Good technical, communication and working skills.
- Proactive approach to decision making and team work.
- Proven management ability in a multi-interface and technically demanding Project.
- Ability to work with and coach Local staff.
- Ensuring all necessary RoK Permits, Licenses and other Compliance requirements are in place prior to commencement of any commissioning activities.
