The Company:
Our client is an independent growing oil and gas consultancy office with all technical know-how on reservoir engineering, seismic interpretation and field development planning regarding the Oil and Gas production with offices in The Hague, Abuja (Nigeria) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). This client's customers are big multinational exploration and production multinationals as well as small independent Oil and Gas enterprises.

The Role:
You will perform activities to promote the services of our client, developing strong relationships with (potential) clients and you will contribute to the growth of the upstream subsurface consulting & well engineering business of our client. The role reports to the Business Development & Sales Manager and will be located in The Hague.

• Maintain regular contact with existing clients and establish new clients to promote our services
• Demonstrate sales performance by closing deals for new and existing clients to achieve the company targets.
• Keep track and follow up of customer contacts, maintaining accurate records of the sales process
• Identify opportunities in the market
• Identify and build strategic relationships with targeted companies and third parties in coordination with the BDM
• Prepare commercial proposals and tender bids to potential clients together with applicable discipline managers and commercial coordinator.
• Negotiate (in cooperation with BDM/management) contracts for the provision of client services
• Work with and guide Project Managers in identifying, developing and closing sales to existing clients and from existing projects
• Actively involved in marketing intelligence and contribute to marketing plans of the company
• Work with Business Development & Sales Manager to enhance the commercial approach of the company and identify new business opportunities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Solid technical background and exposure to subsurface studies, with good understanding of geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir, well and facility engineering
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (in Dutch and English)
• Experience in closing deals, effective negotiator
• Passionate and self-motivated with ‘can-do’ mentality
• Well organized and structured, remains effective under pressure (e.g. of tender deadlines)
• Enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Enjoy and willing to travel frequently for business
• Around 7 - 15 years of experience in the E&P business
• Strong network and/or capability to build networks effectively
