The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role

This role is responsible for planning the distribution of all outbound new and used cars to our global Dealer network. This role provides technical expertise and direction to the department and the business in respect to vehicle distribution. The role is responsible for maximising loading efficiencies so to support business objectives in reducing cost and the carbon footprint.
The role is responsible for monitoring and coordinating vehicle distribution not just from the Crewe factory but also from offsite storage and distribution locations in line with contractual response times. The role is responsible for providing contracted transport suppliers with volume forecasts and for securing capacity requirements required to distribute motor cars to their required destinations.
The role is responsible for building close working relationship with internal customers such as Regional Sales Advisors and Bond colleagues in order to understand their requirements in reaching common objectives. The role is responsible for producing all accurate distribution documentation in order to comply with specific customs and expert requirements; the objective is to improve our customer delivery performance by preventing potential delays.
The role Is responsible for ensuring all planned transport is correctly entered onto systems that manage on site traffic security (DDMS).
There is a proportion of the person’s time that will require them to support the Logistics Quality Lighthouse to administer any quality management requirements for the Logistics function. This will involve creating, maintaining and communicating audit schedules, communicating and following up on audit concerns and administering the document management system for the logistic.

Qualifications & Experience
- UK National Air Cargo Security – Level D.
- A qualification in Exporting would be a distinct advantage.
- The role must have a minimum of 5 GCSE levels A-C including English and Mathematics or equivalent.
- In line with the requirements for C-PAT Regulations, this role requires the applicant to participate in and successfully complete financial, criminal and employment background screening checks.

The applicant must have demonstrable experience in the following:-
- Multimodal global distribution in the Automotive sector.
- Demonstrable experience in vehicle exportation including export documentation.
- Strong analytical, report writing problem solving skills are required.
- A proven ability to manage changing situations and to keep calm under pressure is required and to remain professional at all times.
- An ability to forward plan and carry out multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills are required across various mediums i.e. telephone calls, emails, KPI reports.
