The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Vehicle Safety Test Engineer. Support Rough Road Non deployment and Dynamic Pedestrian testing, test scheduling, , improve Vehicle Safety test procedures, provide support to Crash test engineer, conduct full vehicle crash and sled testing for front, side and rear modes, review and present test data and compile reports. Should be able to write crash test specifications for vehicle and sled testing. Understand and interpret legislative regulations, test procedures, instrumentation and dummy requirements.

Conduct and support Rough Road and Dynamic Pedestrian testing.
Perform crash and sled tests at off site facilities.
Work independently and as part of an extended team with suppliers.
Familiar with crash test protocols for consumer and legal standards

Primarily based at Whitley, and involves work at Gaydon and other test laboratories such as Mira and Millbrook.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Familiar with Crash CAE, test protocols, test laboratories
Knowledge of / experience with FARO 3 dimensional measurement systems
Understanding of test data collection and interpretation methods
Applicants should be familiar with Vehicle Safety integration and testing activity
The applicant should be familiar with aspects of vehicle architecture, legal and consumer safety standards.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The applicant should be able to critique system and component design and CAE model output, but is not expected to build or run CAE models.
