The Company:
Our Client is responsible for pre-shipment inspections for a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced.

The Role:
Overall Purpose of the Role

To carry out , Service, Accessory Fitment and repair work efficiently, safely and to the standards required by the Company, its Customers and Land Rover UK.

Functional Responsibilities:

• To carry out initial quality controls on own work.
• To report warranty work when found.
• To maintain personal working area clean and free of hazardous materials.
• When driving Company or Customer vehicles observe all Road Traffic Regulations.
• To understand and adhere to the Service Department Procedures within any Quality System.
• Together with Service Department staff, maintain all areas of the workshop in a clean and tidy state.
• To interpret and implement manufacturer’s technical service instructions and relevant information.
• Approximately 2,500 vehicles a year through Workshop.
• May be required to work at the Guildford site occasionally.
• Supporting Export departments, flexibility to support retail workshop (as Technician) if needed.

Specific Responsibilities

• To carry out fault diagnosis, repair and testing on vehicles according to instructions on the repair order.
• To advise relevant staff of any additional work found necessary on a vehicle.
• To ensure work is completed within manufacturer’s time schedules without reducing/sacrificing quality standards.
• To take action as necessary to maintain knowledge of current vehicle technology and servicing methods.
• To adhere to Company health and safety rules and procedures at all times.


• Undertake other duties and tasks that from time to time may be allocated and are appropriate to the job.
• Comply with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Date Protection and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures.

• GCSE or equivalent.

• Intellect and knowledge of the automobile market

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Local to Farnborough
• Good IT skills
• Good working knowledge of 4x4 vehicle systems
• Flexible and willing to support other roles as and when necessary
