The Company:
Our client is an International Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company with operations in 16 countries, they have achieved spectacular growth in the past ten years, growth which they expect to continue.

There Southern North Sea (North) facility comprises both on and offshore natural gas production and processing facilities. They include 18 offshore producing gas platforms off the east coast of Yorkshire.

The Role:
Description of role:

The Verification Engineer ensures that for all SNS(N) facilities:-
• The verification system remains fit for purpose.
• Appropriate performance assurance arrangements are in place for safety critical equipment and that any performance deficiencies are identified and corrected.
• All necessary documentation is in place and maintained up to date so as to demonstrate that both the verification system and the assurance system are being satisfactorily implemented.
• Verification activities are planned and properly conducted
• Issues raised by the verifier are dealt with satisfactorily
• New facilities and modifications to existing facilities are designed so as to meet the relevant performance standards and are subject to design verification.
• Performance standards are up to date and fit for purpose.

This role will require occasional site visits both offshore and onshore.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• An engineering or science degree or a chartered engineering qualification
• Knowledge of UK regulations and guidance governing oil and gas production
• Experience of working with safety critical equipment, associated performance standards and assurance/verification of performance
• Ideally a safety engineering / risk management qualification.
• Experience in oil and gas production operations
