The Company:
Our Client are a seabed-to-surface engineering and construction contractor for the offshore oil and gas industry worldwide. They provide integrated services, and they plan, design and deliver complex projects in harsh and challenging environments. They divide their business into principal areas of operation: Subsea Umbilical Risers and Flowlines (SURF), Inspection and Maintenance and Repair (IMR) and Conventional Field Development.

The Role:
Primary responsibility for maintaining vessel dive systems and associated equipment to statutory and classification society rules.

Liaise with class societies and legislative bodies to maintain good working relationships.

Prepare dry dock and refit scopes of work.

Liaise with Vessel Superintendents to ensure all work is properly scheduled.

Ensure sufficient resources are available to carry out dry dock and refit workscopes.

Ensure all workscopes are properly risk assessed.

Provision of technical support to projects through bidding, mobilisation, operations and demobilising phases including budget, scheduling and resource planning.

Setting and adhering to annual maintenance budgets.

Producing financial, technical and performance reports as required.

Participate, and/or manage, new equipment building, major modifications and major overhauls.

Continued development and management of Planned Maintenance and Certification.

The management and maintenance of all documentation relating to the safe operation and reliability of vessel diving equipment and systems.

Required to attend vessels during port calls, refits and dry docks.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• O Level standard
• Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
• Can articulate learning and training experiences

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Good technical and legislative knowledge of Diving Systems & Construction equipment
• Good organisational skills and smart working methods
• Relevant offshore technical experience on Diving Systems in an engineering or technician capacity
• Onshore equipment management experience would be and advantage
