The Company:
Our client, a major oil and gas operator, is seeking a Vessel Management Team Site Lead to join their team.

The Role:
Primary Role:
• Offshore vessel management team (VMT) lead for a deepwater sea trials and pipeline installation
• Primary interface between Pipeline team and pipeline contractor vessel management team on board vessel.
• Lead in preparation of a portion of vessel deep water sea trials, procedures, documents and other preparation activities
• Oversight of Export Pipeline installation in cooperation with pipeline project team
• Vessel Management Team representative on safety leadership team, train the trainer and other pipeline required safety programs

Reporting:
• Reports to the Construction Manager

Responsibilities:
• Direct oversight of offshore inspection team, HES and support vessel activities
• Facilitate issue resolution and communication between pipeline's offshore team and contractors VMT
• Lead VMT is tracking, reporting and facilitating pipeline's offshore execution of the Export Pipeline
• Report progress, identify issues, overcome daily challenges
• Develop, vet and implement required reporting including project ,inspection and schedule forms and formats
• Identify potential delays and other concerns and notify Construction Management Team
• Actively participate in all safety programs and requirements as outlined by pipeline team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• College degree in engineering required
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as pipeline installation engineer, with offshore vessel experience
• Experience in the planning, analysis, preparation, and execution of deepwater pipelines installed by the S-lay method
• Ability to work effectively offshore, communicate openly and handle unexpected challenges
• Experience with vessel pipelay equipment and the operations of a dp pipelay vessel
• Experience with scheduling programs, word processing programs
• Technical writing skills and good presentation skills a plus
• Offshore rotation 3/3 or 3/2 TBD
• Must have safety as a priority
