The Company:
Our Client acquire a comprehensive deep water (900-960m) Geotechnical survey program over planned development areas on the Exmouth Plateau Northwest Shelf Australia. The proposed project will involve the installation of up to 12 subsea drill centers tied back to a single floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) vessel via flowlines, risers, and umbilicals. The Role:
An opportunity is available for a two Vessel SSH&E Advisor to join the Geotechnical Team.
The Geotechnical Project SSH&E Advisor is Buyer's representative that "monitors and advises" on Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSH&E) matters associated with the Project.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for verifying that the survey contractors and subcontractors comply with the Project SSH&E Plan, contract requirements, SSH&E laws and regulations, and industry standards
• Monitor and assess Contractor SSH&E procedures and processes
• Ensure adherence to the contract SSH&E requirements and Project SSH&E Plan
• Communicate deviations to Buyer and Contractor designated personnel
• Recommend SSH&E improvements or corrective actions
• Ensure that the Project SSH&E Plan is updated to accurately reflect field procedures
• Represent client in Project related SSH&E matters
• Participate in incident investigations as required
• Monitor SSH&E performance data
• Compile SSH&E data and statistics for daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Assist the Lead QC Representative as appropriate
• Assist in the development of the Project SSH&E Plan when possible
• Report to Buyer contact as requested
• Work with Lead and Technical QCs as a team
• Maintain awareness of other QCs' areas of responsibility
• Follow-up on vessel audit action items and continuously assess compliance with regulatory, industry standards, and client requirements.

At the end of the survey, the SSH&E QC representative is to submit three hard copies and three CDROM digital copies (to include all photographs) of the Final Audit & SSH&E Operations Report.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
TRAINING and SKILLS Requirements

• First Aid & CPR (within the last three years)
* Safety Management (for Lead Technical QC representative and SHE advisor)
• Saftey Training to include Incident Investigation, Risk Assessments, Management of Change, Permits To Work, Work Observations, Behavior Based Safety.
* Hazardous Material Awareness (HAZCOM or equivalent)
* Drug and Alcohol Awareness
* Sea Survival Training (current certificate) preferably to include Helicopter Underwater Escape Training
* Certificate of Medical Fitness to Work Offshore signed by a qualified medical practitioner to recognized international standards, e.g. United Kingdom Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA)
• Competent Computer skills

The SSH&E QC should be familiar with company's OIMS / SSH&E standards and reporting requirements. He/She should have 10+ years’ experience as an onboard SSH&E representative, Risk Management, and HSE Management within the Oil and Gas industry.
