Vessels Engineer

This company has an immediate requirement for a Vessels Engineer to join the Consulting Services Department based at our Headquarters in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The Consulting Services Department provides this company with effective specialized engineering consultations, introduces viable technologies and maintains quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities to include:

• Provide technical consultations and maintain standards on issues related to vessels, tanks and valves.
• Review design packages and provide technical support for new projects.
• Participate in technical committees and incident investigation studies.
• Conduct outreach (awareness) seminars about valve issues.
• Participate in value engineering studies.
• Resolve technical problems for operating facilities.
• Review and approve maintenance and repair procedures.
• Lead in the technical evaluations, surveys and audits of vessels and valve manufacturers and suppliers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have the following experience, competencies and skill sets:
• A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 9 years of professional experience in vessels, valves and tanks within the oil and gas industry with some experience in a field environment.
• Ideally, have achieved industry recognition through activities in professional societies and industrial organizations such as ASME, ASCE, ASTM, API, NACE, SEI and others.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills with experience in developing and presenting technical reports.
