The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Responsible for the co-ordination of warehousing moves and support of the material flow planner's activity and delivery of/maintenance of the material flow methods to support both series production and project development and introduction to series.

To ensure that Logistics Planning is fully supported with the appropriate data sets when required, to allow it to shape and implement the Logistics strategy in an effective and efficient manner.

- To Use data analysis and technical knowledge to provide Logistics planning with accurate planning data and tools.
- To support the project management and implementation of the overall Logistics strategy.
- To drive continuous improvement activities to standardise planning processes where appropriate.
- Reporting directly to the Logistics Material Flow Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- To use data analysis and apply specialist technical skills to provide logistics project and Planning managers as well as the Parts Flow Planners with accurate planning data and tools.
- Interpret engineering and pre-series Bill of Material lists.
- Create meaningful Logistics data and status reports from multiple sources and systems.
- Develop own databases for manipulating data and executing complex calculations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Knowledge of material handling processes and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate on all levels both internally and externally.
- Health and safety knowledge and experience in manual handling and material handling.
- Advanced level of IT literacy (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access/Outlook/Projects).
- Advanced level of SAP competence.
- Good understanding of logistics principles and good analytical skills.
- Experience of Logistics material flow and supply chain management.
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent meeting and organisation skills.
- Fully developed presentation skills.
- A 'hands on' approach to projects and tasks.
- Experience in specifying/implementing continuous improvement activity is beneficial.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Proven ability in Project Introduction, particularly automotive.
- Can co-ordinate and plan workloads to achieve project delivery.
- Can implement action plans to time/cost.
- Good influencing and communication skills.
- Hands on approach.
- Responsible to stop the process as required - based on escalation procedures.
- The ability to gain consensus for projects/timings.
- Motivated team player.
- Committed and flexible.
