The Role:
Reporting to the Warehouse manager this role is responsible for the teams’ operational and financial performance, ensuring both service delivery and team targets are met in accordance with customer or company requirements.

Safety Performance:
- Ensure safe-working practices at all times
- Conduct necessary weekly / monthly safety meetings within your sphere of influence
- Incorporate and promote safety changes / requirements within day to day operations
- Participate in toolbox talks as and when required – ensuring all relevant personnel are fully aware of the job task prior to commencement of work

Work Instructions / Procedures:
- Comply with all relevant company work instructions and procedures for each job function. Suggest any improvements to improve service delivery and amend work instructions

Continual Improvement Documents:
- Thorough investigation to all team related CIDS, implementing the necessary changes to procedure / work instructions preventing re-occurrence

Site Safety Audits:
- Conduct site safety audits in and around the Aberdeen warehousing operations. Promote safety culture by increased supervisor visibility to the workforce.

Key Performance Indicators:
- Record and produce accurate daily activity sheets for clients
- Conduct Occupancy recording

Service Level Agreements:
- Ensure operations are managed, maintaining customer satisfaction in accordance with Client and Company Service Level Agreements

Company / Industry Legislation:
- Ensure compliance of all Team operations with current and future Company and legislative standards as required by Company procedures, HM Customs, IMDG, COSHH, etc.

Team Management:
- Accurately record and control Team members working hours / holidays / sickness / overtime ensuring service level standards are maintained

Appraisal System:
- Completion of performance appraisals and assessments, and implementation of recommended training and development programmes in compliance with Company procedures

Change Management:
Ability to plan and organise all of the team operations, dealing effectively with changing circumstances and priorities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- In depth knowledge and experience of warehousing operations
- Keen business awareness of cost effective materials storage and warehousing
- In depth knowledge of company and legislative requirements / regulations
- Ability to promote high levels of team working, flexibility, enthusiasm and determination to ensure success of the Team
- Ability to forecast, monitor and control operating costs to keep below budget limits
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organisation and clients
