The Company:
Our client is one of the foremost Owner/Operators in the Netherlands with sizeable Dutch North Sea assets.

The Role:
- Ensures proper (hazardous) waste and dangerous goods handling as this is important to the public image of company in the Netherlands, relations with authorities and prevention of accidents and fines.
- Supports FOD, ECD and ECD personnel and works closely with HSE to ensure safe and cost effective disposal of (hazardous) waste and hazardous materials (including NORM) transport from all offshore activities (costs involved with waste disposal ~5 M€~/a spread across departments).

- Record keeping of all waste streams generated offshore and issuing annual waste reports.
- Actively pursue new and implement approved projects to increase cost effectiveness of waste handling.
- Assist CPD in the tender process for waste vendors/ processors.
- Manage all owned containers and tanks for (hazardous) waste and dangerous goods.
- Maintain CMS with respect to all waste and hazardous material handling (including IMDG reference guide (type of packaging and labeling), waste procedures, transport document templates, Chem and Waste Card System etc.).
- Maintain contact with waste vendors/ processors, SNS pool and authorities (relating to hazardous material/ waste hand¬ling).
- Focal point for all waste and hazardous material transport questions
- Contribute to achieve Company and Operations department HSE objectives, report anomalies and HSE incidents, assist the accident investigation and contribute to corrective actions implementation relating to hazardous material/ waste handling.
- Perform internal and external audits relating to hazardous material/ waste handling.
- In case company will apply for a permit and Waste Processing ID number to collect waste at DHR yard:
- Notifications to the National Centre for Waste Notification (LMA) of waste stream numbers.
- Monthly reporting of waste stream numbers for received and disposed wastes.
- Creating transport documents for waste transfer from quay side to company yard.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Qualifications:
- “MBO” (Secondary Vocational Education) level 4 environmental management or equivalent.
- Certified Level 5B radiation protection supervisor.
- Certified “VIHB” (Waste Transporters, Collectors, Vendors and Intermediates) competent person.
- Experience: Thoroughly familiar with offshore operations.
- Language: Good technical and practical English.
- Computer skills (MS Office and database applications).
- Service minded attitude and accuracy working with recordkeeping systems.
